Download Connection Set-up

Download Instructions
Click on the Download link above, you will be prompted to either "run from current location" or "save to disk". To install choose "run from current location".
When complete...choose Yes to install....you will also be prompted to create an icon on your desktop & if you would like to make this connection available for use by all users...choose yes again. Our connection box will appear....enter your username & password...check "save password box" At the bottom of the dial up box...click on the Properties button...here you will enter your local dial access # for us. If you have call waiting on your phone service, you will need to select the correct access # for your location by using our Phone Book on that page...if you do not have call waiting & know the correct access # you may simply type it in.


Configure Internet Explorer
Click on Start button, go to Settings / Control Panel . Internet Options. Click on Connections tab...under Dial Up Setting, click on WV Access Internet Service to highlight..then click the "Set As Default" button. Check mark the... "Always Dial My Default Connection" and click the Apply button at the bottom, then OK.
Saving To Disk - Saving a back up copy of our connection to disk is always a good idea...to install from disk, click on My Computer icon on desktop and open...insert disk into drive & click on 3 1/2 floppy to open, then click on WV Access Internet Service, open & choose to install as instructed above.
Disabling Call Waiting
Choose the correct access # for your area from our Phone book, you will need to check mark the "Use Dialing Rules" box. Click the "Dialing Rules" button just below the back up # ...Check mark the "Disable Call Waiting" & enter or select the *70...most phone companies use this symbol to disable this feature....Click OK at the bottom of the page..click OK again, If it is correctly configured...when dialing you will see the *70 being dialed as part of your connection #.
Outlook Express E-mail Setup
Open your Outlook Express / click on the Tools tab in the top tool bar...go down to Account & open. Click on the Mail tab...click Add button / Mail.
Enter a display name (this is the name which will appear on your sent messages, so people will know who it is from) click next...check "already have e-mail account" & enter your new wvaccess.net address.& click next.
Server Type is a POP3...in the incoming & outgoing mail server boxes, enter in both.. mail.wvaccess.net click next button.
Enter you account username & password..click next and finish. You will return to the Internet Account page....under account it should read - "wvaccess.net" / Type - "mail (default)" / Connection "Any Available"...if you have other e-mail accounts there, you may need to set us as your Default...click wvaccess to highlight ..click Set As Default button to your right. Click OK to close.
